The opinions expressed in this publication are the opinion of the author and are not necessarily held by all the members of the board or all or any of the members of the club.
The December meeting was called to order by Wes, W9WES, and did not meet the old record for shortness. This was partly because the board members had to be announced due to the fact that the votes were not counted until after the November meeting while waiting for the mailed in votes to be collected and added to the votes cast at the November
meeting.
I was not present for the beginning of the meeting as I had to work until 7 pm and things ran a little late that night at the bank. I will endeavor to be at all of the meetings during the next year and will attend some of the class so as to be able to report on some of the goings on that may not be in the secretaries report.
Mostly human interest stuff! Not gossip per se but any member news from their lives outside of the ham related stuff.
If there are any specific topics our readers would like to see addressed in the news letter, my personal e-mail address:elainen9qzf@tds.net.
I will try to find information that is interesting to the general membership and information on any particular topic someone might provide me with. We will also include articles from some ham related publications without plagiarizing.
It’s that time of year again. Memberships are up for renewal. You can either send them to the treasures at the PO Box or pay them in person at the meeting. The address is: Green Bay Mike and Key Club, P.O. Box 13351, Green Bay, WI 54307. Please fill out the membership application you will find attached to the newsletter. Fill it out in full even if none of you information has changed. This makes record keeping much easier!!!
The club will again be sponsoring classes . Content will depend on those attending.
Classes will be held every Wednesday at the JM Science building on the Saint Norbert College campus. Room 223 from 7pm to 9pm. No charge for the class and the book can be purchased at Radio Shack, through the ARRL or at any ham radio dealer. Cost is approximately $19.
The first class will be held on January 8, and should run 10 to 12 weeks. VE’s will be available to give tests the last week of the class. For further information or if you have any questions call Keith at 920_336-6087 after 4 pm.
If you wish to upgrade to extra you may want to start studying now as the question pool with be changed as of July 1 of this year.

Fox hunts are held twice monthly. They are on the first Sunday of the month and the Tuesday after the meeting. They start at 7pm on 147.555 and run until the fox is located.
The Sunday hunt is a mileage hunt and all hunters start from Heritage Hill State Park. This is a county wide hunt.
The Tuesday hunt is a timed hunt. You start wherever you want.
We urge you to participate. This is good pratice for tracking down interference. Come out and give it a try and hone you dfing skills.
